1. High isolation Medical Grade Bottle packaging. High-isolation packaging is the use of excellent insulation materials to restrain gas and water vapor. Smell, light, etc. enter the package to guarantee the effectiveness of the medicine. The application of high-isolation packaging has been very extensive in Europe and Japan, and my country has introduced high-isolation packaging such as PVDC since the 1980s, but its growth has been slow. Therefore, the growth of high-isolation material packaging is a major trend in my country's pharmaceutical flexible packaging;

2. Antibacterial packaging. Although the clean environment for pharmaceutical production is planned in accordance with GMP requirements, any dosage form production and packaging process cannot be absolutely sterile. Therefore, in order to extend the shelf life of drugs and ensure the safety of drug use, according to GMP requirements, the use of antibacterial polymer packaging materials for drug packaging to prevent bacterial contamination will also become one of the directions of drug flexible packaging;

3. "Green" packaging. The "green" packaging of drugs refers to packaging that is harmless to the ecological environment and human health, and the packaging materials can be recycled and used. After the implementation of the ISO1400 standard, the development of "green" packaging has become a must. In the future, new environmentally-friendly packaging materials such as remanufacturing, degradable and returning to nature, and ignition without polluting the atmosphere will be recklessly developed and generally adopted;

4. Less metering and packaging. Low-metering packaging requires that the internal packaging of medicines have the function of standard measurement, including the use of packaging materials with measurement results and one-time-use packaging. The latter is the common low-metering packaging. One-time-use packaging was universal in the United States in 1990. With the development of composite materials and the growth of sterilization packaging technology, my country has been able to effectively guarantee the accuracy of single-use packaging for liquid and solid agents, but it will continue to grow. Convenient and accurate flexible packaging such as small metering packaging;

5. Environmental regulation packaging. The so-called "environmental regulation packaging" is to change the gas state in the package and guarantee the quality of the packaged product for a longer period of time, such as packaging with a desiccant (oxygen absorbent), and packaging with atmospheric replacement (nitrogen gas, etc.). This packaging situation will continue to prevail;

6. "Aseptic" packaging. "Aseptic" packaging is a method of sterilizing and packaging packaged drugs in a "sterile" environment, using instant ultra-high temperature sterilization technology, and multi-use composite materials to determine different situations of extrusion and compound molding for packaging. It has the advantages of better linking the medicines, extending the shelf life, saving energy, low packaging costs, and easy to achieve environmentally friendly packaging;

7. Serialized packaging. The serialization of drug packaging means that the drugs produced by the same manufacturer adopt a unified and similar packaging element pattern to package the drugs. For example, blister packaging can be achieved through changes in the plate size and related elements of the aluminum foil screen to achieve serial packaging. With the implementation of OTC in my country's pharmaceutical industry, serialized packaging is increasingly valued, and its capabilities will also be greatly displayed in the future growth of pharmaceutical flexible packaging;

8. Nano packaging. The application and development of nanotechnology and nanomaterials in the field of medicine provide a golden opportunity for Chinese pharmaceutical packaging. The growth of nano-paper, polymer-based nano-composite materials (PNMC), nano-adhesives and nano-antibacterial packaging will open up a new category of flexible pharmaceutical packaging.
